• 10+ years of solution architecture experience, including large-scale AWS cloud platform design and implementation.

• Strong expertise in cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures.

• Experience building enterprise data platforms, analytics solutions, and data integration ecosystems in AWS.

• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Amazon Bedrock, RAG architectures, knowledge bases, and AI-enabled applications.

• Proven ability to establish architecture standards, governance, security patterns, and operational best practices.

• Technical leadership experience guiding implementation teams from architecture through production deployment

Other Details of Role:

1. Experience in assessing, designing, and implementing modern applications

2. Strong communication, proven leader, highly collaborative, ability to work through design decision and trade-offs with team

3. Drive and collaborate to deliver the following:

4. Architecture depictions of hybrid on premises/cloud environments

5. Technical backlog of user stories

6. Technical documentation of N-tiered layers (auth, cache, data stores, etc.)

7. On-premises Java architecture familiarity, including WebSphere and integration to mainframe, DB2, and VSAM (understanding required, not necessarily hands-on development)

8. On-prem to AWS Cloud migration/integration, including:

9. Migration patterns (auth, middleware, data stores, event patterns, caching, telemetry)

10. Serverless patterns

11. Data migration

12. Background in development or data engineering (not purely functional/API-familiar candidates), experience with integrations between legacy systems including mainframe

13. Mainly remote work, with potential for quarterly travel to Des Moines
