NX Open Custom Developer

We are seeking an experienced Siemens NX Open Custom Developer on 12 months remote contract with strong knowledge of Siemens NX CAD applications, NX Open toolkits, and Teamcenter NX Manager. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of CAD design applications, analytical geometry constructs, and software development, with the ability to develop, customize, troubleshoot, and enhance engineering design automation solutions.

Required Qualifications and Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in software development, CAD customization, engineering automation, or related technical roles.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens NX CAD software and its customization capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with the Siemens NX Open toolkit for application development and automation.
• Working knowledge of Teamcenter NX Manager and its role in CAD data management and engineering workflows.
• Experience with CAD design applications and a solid understanding of analytical geometry, geometric modeling, and related mathematical constructs.
• Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, C++, Fortran, Perl, and shell scripting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio and GitHub for development, debugging, and source control.
• Experience working in Linux and Windows environments.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience in software testing, validation, and troubleshooting of complex technical applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering customers and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to understand business requirements, assess technical challenges, and recommend practical, scalable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Teamcenter Integration Toolkit (ITK) development.
• Experience developing or supporting NX Open applications integrated with Teamcenter-managed CAD environments.
• Familiarity with engineering design automation, CAD/PLM integration, and product lifecycle management processes.
• Experience identifying opportunities to automate repetitive engineering tasks and improve existing design workflows.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, application performance optimization, and change management in engineering environments.
