Temp-Hire Fully Remote Litigation Assistant (California-Based)

Location: Remote (Must Reside in California)

Employment Type: Full-Time - Temp-hire

Our client is a growing plaintiff-side litigation team seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant to provide administrative and litigation support in a fully remote environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with California state and federal court procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit receipts and expenses to accounting
• Schedule depositions, including coordinating court reporters, conference rooms, and equipment
• Convert documents between PDF and Word formats
• Coordinate appointments with medical providers and expert witnesses
• Prepare and submit e-filings in California state and federal courts
• Arrange service of process and service of legal documents
• Draft client correspondence, including signature requests, verification letters, and HIPAA-related documentation
• Bates stamp documents and prepare exhibit binders/pages
• Communicate with courts regarding hearing dates and scheduling matters
• Provide general litigation and administrative support to attorneys

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with Los Angeles County courts, California state courts, and federal courts is required
• Prior litigation assistant or legal assistant experience
• Strong knowledge of e-filing procedures
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF editing software
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple deadlines

Preferred

• Experience supporting plaintiff-side litigation matters
• Familiarity with case management and document management systems
