Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Embedded Software Architect specializing in Safety products to lead the design and development of cutting-edge embedded systems. In this role, you will drive the architecture of safety-critical embedded solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards while leveraging your expertise in system design, distributed computing, and cloud integration. Your leadership will shape the future of safety technology, fostering scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that meet rigorous safety requirements. Join us to be at the forefront of embedded safety innovations and make a tangible impact on safety-critical applications worldwide.
Duties
- Lead the architecture and design of embedded safety systems, ensuring adherence to industry safety standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, translating customer needs into scalable and robust software solutions.
- Develop detailed system architecture diagrams using UML (Unified Modeling Language) and create comprehensive documentation for system components and interfaces.
- Oversee the integration of various software modules, including middleware and application layers, utilizing service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI to streamline development workflows.
- Drive software development activities across multiple platforms, including real-time operating systems (RTOS), Linux-based systems, and cloud infrastructure environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Ensure software quality through rigorous testing strategies, including static analysis, code reviews, and automated testing frameworks like JUnit or Selenium.
- Promote best practices in DevOps automation, version control (Git/SVN), and configuration management to enhance deployment efficiency.
- Design scalable distributed systems that support high availability and fault tolerance for safety-critical applications.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define clear objectives for system design and implementation.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Embedded Software Architect with a focus on safety-critical applications in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or industrial automation.
- Deep understanding of embedded system design principles, including real-time constraints and hardware-software integration.
- Extensive knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and scripting languages like Bash or Perl.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and cloud architecture design for embedded solutions.
- Strong familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum to manage complex projects efficiently.
- Expertise in designing APIs using RESTful services and implementing web services with technologies such as WCF or WebSphere.
- Proficiency with databases including NoSQL (MongoDB), MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PL/SQL for data management within embedded systems.
- Experience working with application frameworks such as Spring Framework or ASP.NET Core for enterprise solution development.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for deploying scalable applications.
- Familiarity with security testing tools like Burp Suite to ensure robust security measures in safety-related systems.
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), system design for distributed systems, and application integration via APIs.
Join us to innovate at the intersection of embedded systems and safety technology! We are committed to fostering a collaborative environment where your expertise will directly influence the future of safe automation solutions worldwide.
