Roberts & Kehagiaras LLP (R&K) is a law firm that focuses on legal services regarding international transactions, trade, and transportation. The firm supports exporters, importers, transportation companies, brokers, and insurers with complex trade and cargo issues. R&K’s Houston office predominantly practices U.S. Customs and Trade Law.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote Paralegal role. The Paralegal will assist with supporting attorneys with court and administrative filings, research and document preparation, client onboarding, client billing, scheduling, preparation of marketing materials, and other office administrative tasks. The Paralegal will also help monitor regulatory changes and assist in the development of internal templates, checklists, and best practices for trade and transportation matters.

Qualifications

* Knowledge or experience with Clio or similar law firm billing software.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.

* Capable of working remotely Monday–Friday, 9–5 p.m., with your own workspace and phone (technology will be provided).

* Ability to assist multiple attorneys with multiple ongoing action items, such as case support and client intake and billing, in a fast-paced environment.

Plus

* 3+ years of experience in a law firm.

* Paralegal certificate.

* Experience with CBP’s Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).

* Any experience with U.S. Customs and Trade Law.

* Proficiency in Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, German, French, Korean, Portuguese, Arabic, Japanese, or another common commercial language.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
