About the Role

You’ll work closely with an engineering team, Lab Operations, R&D, and Automation to turn lab needs into clear requirements and working software. You’ll learn the lab inside and out, ask lots of questions, and sweat the details that make Signatera workflows hard, like rework scenarios, process improvements, and task prioritizatioon. You’ll bring curiosity, a bias for action, and a willingness to put AI to work so you can move faster and ship smarter.

  • Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering can execute on.
  • Create flow diagrams, wireframes, and simple prototypes to clarify requirements with lab and technical teams.
  • Bring UX design thinking to everything you build, partnering with design to create intuitive workflows that reduce errors and training time on the lab floor.
  • Groom and prioritize the backlog with your engineering team, balancing new features, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements.
  • Find and close operational gaps on the lab floor, such as sample tracking, primer and control inventory, sample disposition, and instrument availability.
  • Build robust quality documentation and release notes to enable lab verification and validation.

Delivery & Launch

  • Support new product, panel launches and process improvements, through requirements, UAT, lab process verification and validation, go-live, and hypercare.
  • Work with Quality and Regulatory to make sure your features meet the requirements of a regulated clinical lab.
  • Track success metrics such as throughput, turnaround time, failure and rework rates, manual touchpoints, workcell utilization, and adoption for the features you ship.
  • Gather user feedback after launch and turn it into improvements.

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Lab Operations, R&D, Automation, and Bioinformatics stakeholders to understand their needs and pain points.
  • Host in-depth user trainings, feedback sessions, and demos to enable a seamless user experience and feature rollouts.
  • Work with Automation to integrate software with automated workcells and instruments, including liquid handlers, sample storage, and sequencers.
  • Spend real time on the lab floor to understand how people actually work, and build deep empathy for lab operators.
  • Keep stakeholders informed on progress, trade-offs, and risks.
  • Work with senior product managers and product leadership to grow your skills and contribute to the broader WH/OH strategy.

Qualifications
