WFH Marketing Assistant (WordPress, Shopify, Local SEO)

Overview

Our client is looking for a proactive Marketing Assistant (WordPress, Shopify, Local SEO) to establish and scale a strong online presence for a growing UK breakdown recovery service provider. In this role, you will build responsive websites from scratch, optimize dedicated regional landing pages, and drive local SEO and Google My Business management across multiple motorway service domains. It is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on business growth and ensure critical, real-time emergency service accessibility for motorists across England.

Schedule:

• Full-time - 40h per week, flexible but communication within GMT business hours

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop clean, user-friendly websites from scratch using platforms like WordPress or Shopify.
• Build and optimize dedicated landing pages for various regional locations surrounding major motorways.
• Set up, verify, and actively update Google My Business profiles for multiple service locations.
• Manage and maintain social media profiles on platforms like Instagram and Facebook to establish a professional brand presence.
• Perform regular website maintenance, updates, and content management tasks.
• Scale digital efforts across multiple sister domains and recovery brands as the business expands.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience working as a marketing assistant or in a similar digital marketing role.
• Demonstrated expertise in building websites using CMS platforms such as WordPress or Shopify.
• Solid understanding of local SEO, keyword implementation, and search engine ranking factors.
• Hands-on experience creating and optimizing Google My Business profiles.
• Experience in managing business social media accounts and maintaining brand consistency.
• Bonus if you have experience in the automotive, breakdown recovery, or roadside assistance industry.
• It helps if you have a portfolio demonstrating successful website builds and local ranking improvements.
