Lead Product Manager, Radiation Oncology

Product    Full-Time    Remote (Continental U.S. — lower 48)

Location: Remote — continental U.S. (lower 48) only

Reports to: VP of Operations

Team: Product, working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success

About Fuse Oncology

Fuse Oncology, Inc. is a healthcare technology company reimagining radiation oncology. Headquartered in Boone, North Carolina, we build a modern, AI-driven software suite that streamlines every step of the radiation oncology workflow — from consult documentation to treatment planning to care tracking and authorization — so clinicians can spend less time fighting their tools and more time caring for patients.

Our mission is urgent. Cancer patients expect treatment within 24 hours of their consult, yet today it often takes three to four weeks to move from consult to first treatment. Fuse is on a mission to close that gap — enabling providers to move from consult to treatment in just 24 hours and accelerating care to move at the speed of the patient.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Lead Product Manager who has lived radiation oncology from the inside. You know how a patient actually moves from consult through simulation, contouring, planning, QA, and first treatment — where that process breaks down — and you have a clear point of view on how it should work.

You will be the voice of the radiation oncology team inside Fuse: translating real clinical workflows into product direction, deciding what gets built and why, and ensuring what we ship works the way a department actually works. This is a senior, high-ownership role with direct influence on the product roadmap and a clear path to grow with the company.

What You’ll Do

  • Clinical Product Vision – Continue developing Fuse’s workflows across prior authorization, role-based clinical workflows, and charge capture, grounded in how radiation oncology departments really work.
  • Be the clinical authority for the product — representing physicians, dosimetrists, physicists, therapists, nurses, and front-office staff in every product decision.
  • Map and redesign workflows — document how departments run today on ARIA and MOSAIQ, find the delays between consult and treatment, and design role-based workflows that remove them.
  • Own requirements — translate clinical needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria our development team can build against.
  • AI First – Utilize AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate discovery, draft requirements, and analyze customer feedback.
  • Rapid Prototyping – Learn to utilize Ai to create clickable prototypes that can be used to validate requirements with end users and translate them to the development team.
  • Engage customers — lead discovery sessions and site visits with clinics, and support demos, implementations, and go-lives as the clinical expert in the room.
  • Prioritize the backlog with Operations and engineering leadership, balancing clinical impact, customer commitments, and technical constraints.
  • Validate releases against real clinical scenarios — be the person who can say with confidence that it works the way a department works.
  • Lead and mentor the broader product team on clinical context and help set the standard for how Fuse builds for radiation oncology.

What We’re Looking For

Core (required)

  • Radiation oncology clinical experience — 5+ years working directly in a radiation oncology department (e.g., radiation therapist, medical dosimetrist, medical physicist, radiation oncology nurse, APP, or chief therapist / clinical manager).
  • Vision for improving radiation oncology workflow — a clear, specific point of view on what’s broken in rad onc workflow today and how technology should fix it.
  • Product mindset — you think in terms of problems, users, and outcomes, and you’re drawn to why a process works the way it does and how it could work better.
  • Oncology product experience — work with oncology software beyond daily use, such as super-user, clinical liaison, implementation lead, workflow/build analyst, or a vendor-side clinical, product, or applications role.
  • OIS experience — hands-on use of ARIA and/or MOSAIQ.
  • End-to-end knowledge of the patient pathway: consult, sim, planning, physics QA, treatment delivery, on-treatment visits…
