Ecomm Virtual Assistant (Shopify) – Fashion Ecommerce, Full-Time Remote

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join a growing Melbourne-based fashion label that sells through its own Shopify store and independent stockists, and is now launching into a major Australian department store. You’ll work directly with the founder as their right hand on the day-to-day ecommerce operation. This is a long-term, full-time, work-from-home role.

HOURS

10am to 6pm Melbourne time, Monday to Friday (Melbourne public holidays).

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own the Shopify back end: product copy, descriptions, attributes and categories, and regular site audits (including AI-assisted audits) to fix anything hurting conversion

• Send a short end-of-day summary of what you found and fixed

• Set up and merchandise monthly collection drops, collection pages and homepage banners

• Create and enrich products for Shopify and a department store supplier portal using existing guides

• Run weekly stock checks, move inventory between ecommerce and wholesale, and coordinate with the 3PL warehouse

• Monitor the production inbox and keep the sample tracker current, so the founder knows which samples arrive when

• Handle a small volume of customer service (around 3–5 enquiries a day: order tracking and returns)

• General admin and diary support for the founder

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must have:

• Fluent English, spoken and written

• Strong, hands-on Shopify back-end experience (products, collections, merchandising, site hygiene)

• Product creation and enrichment experience with accurate copy and image uploads

• Intermediate Google Sheets skills

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• Confident communicator who can manage up and push back when needed

• Able to work independently and own tasks end to end

• Comfortable using AI tools

• An interest in fashion

• Available 10am to 6pm Melbourne time

Highly regarded:

• Experience with online marketplaces

• Google Analytics, including reconciling conversion data against Shopify

• Fashion ecommerce or department store supplier portal experience

• Multi-channel inventory management

• Ecommerce customer service experience

THE RIGHT PERSON

You have energy and personality, you close the loop (acknowledge instructions and say how long things will take), you organise rather than wait to be organised, and you see what needs doing and do it. Hands-on training is provided in the first week or two.
