About the Opportunity:

The PRODUCT OWNER, UNIVERSAL GATEWAY, is responsible for managing the product backlog of a unified ingress and egress system that handles the transmission of medical imaging and healthcare data within a cloud platform. This role bridges the strategic vision of product management with the technical execution by development teams, ensuring that the platform supports reliable clinical workflows critical to patient care. The position demands deep expertise in medical imaging interoperability and integration, contributing directly to the organization’s ability to maintain high-quality healthcare connectivity services.

Responsibilities:

• Own and prioritize the product backlog for Universal Gateway, including DICOM DIMSE, DICOMweb, HL7 messaging, and pathology whole slide imaging ingestion.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams throughout development cycles, making timely decisions on scope, priority, and trade-offs.
• Define and validate non-functional requirements such as failover SLAs, high availability, throughput, and latency targets, ensuring compliance with DICOM standards.
• Gather and analyze input from sales, customer success, support, and customers to refine the backlog and support product management.
• Monitor and report on progress and delivery metrics, proactively identifying risks and integrating feedback from testing and beta programs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, technology, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or integration/interface engineer, with at least 2 years focused on platform or infrastructure products.
• Working knowledge of agile/scrum practices and experience with backlog and sprint management tools.
• Practical experience with DICOM and HL7 v2, demonstrated through interface configuration or troubleshooting.
• Ability to lead technical discussions on design, feasibility, and trade-offs, including high availability and multi-region deployments.
• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented approach to requirements and quality validation.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, containerization, infrastructure as code, networking, and observability tools.
