Microsoft .NET / Azure Integration Developer

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Microsoft .NET and Azure Integration Services Software Developer for a 1-year contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

The client is open to candidates located in the Ottawa and surrounding region and also open to remote candidates in the GTA and Quebec. Candidates must be willing to work the EST time zone.

Key Tasks

• The Microsoft .NET/ Azure Developer is responsible for designing, developing, modernizing, and supporting cloud-based applications and integrations across the enterprise.
• The role leads solutions from design and development through testing and deployment, with a focus on C#/.NET development, Azure services, APIs, application refactoring, cloud migration, security and monitoring.
• Develop and enhance enterprise applications using the Microsoft .NET stack using Azure Functions and API Management.
• Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop integrations using Azure platforms to connect diverse systems.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7+ years of recent demonstrated and proven software development expertise in Microsoft .NET frameworks and Azure cloud services
• Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, Azure Functions, App Service, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure Storage and Azure SQL Databases
• Demonstrated ability to design and support complex enterprise integrations, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native applications using microservices, serverless, event-driven, and container-based design patterns.

Qualifications

Solid understanding of Azure security and secure coding practices, including Microsoft Entra ID, identity and access management, managed identities, Azure Key Vault, encryption, secrets management, role-based access control, and protection of APIs and cloud-hosted applications.

• Experience working in agile delivery teams and participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives using tools such as Azure DevOps Boards, Jira, or Confluence. Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• A proactive self-starter who demonstrates ownership, accountability, sound technical judgment, and the ability to lead technical work and mentor other developers.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure development or architecture certifications are considered an asset
