Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++, Embedded Systems, RTOS, Python)

Job Summary

We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain firmware and embedded software solutions for real-time systems. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in C/C++, hands-on experience with embedded systems and RTOS, and proficiency in Python for automation and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware using C and C++.
• Design and implement real-time applications using RTOS.
• Interface software with hardware peripherals and communication protocols.
• Develop device drivers and low-level software modules.
• Debug and resolve firmware, hardware integration, and system-level issues.
• Create Python scripts for automation, testing, and data analysis.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to software architecture discussions.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and validation teams.
• Ensure software quality through unit testing and integration testing.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

1. C Programming

• Strong understanding of pointers, memory management, and data structures.
• Experience with low-level programming and embedded firmware development.

1. C++ Programming

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience designing modular and maintainable software.

1. Embedded Systems

• Experience with microcontrollers and embedded platforms.
• Understanding of hardware-software interaction and peripheral programming.

1. RTOS

• Hands-on experience with task scheduling, semaphores, mutexes, queues, and interrupts.
• Familiarity with RTOS concepts and real-time application development.

1. Communication Protocols

• Experience with UART, SPI, IC, CAN, USB, or Ethernet.
• Knowledge of device communication and debugging techniques.

1. Python

• Ability to develop automation scripts and testing frameworks.
• Experience with log analysis, validation tools, and data processing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ARM Cortex-M processors.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with debugging tools, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Understanding of software development processes and Agile methodologies.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
