About the Opportunity

Recruits Lab is partnering with a high-growth fintech company building a next-generation AI platform powered by autonomous agents.

We’re seeking an exceptional Senior AI Engineer (Agentic AI) to architect, develop, and deploy production-grade AI agents that automate complex workflows, make intelligent decisions, and interact with enterprise systems.

This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering opportunity for someone who has successfully built and shipped agentic AI systems—not just experimented with LLMs or developed basic chatbots.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade autonomous AI agents.
• Develop sophisticated agentic workflows involving planning, reasoning, memory, and tool execution.
• Build multi-agent orchestration systems using LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
• Integrate LLMs with enterprise APIs, databases, and internal applications.
• Develop scalable Python services, APIs, and backend infrastructure.
• Implement RAG, vector search, contextual retrieval, and agent memory systems.
• Build robust evaluation frameworks, observability, guardrails, and monitoring.
• Optimize agent performance, reliability, latency, and cost.
• Own the full engineering lifecycle, from architecture through production deployment.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 3–8+ years of professional software engineering or AI/ML engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying agentic AI systems in production.
• Strong Python programming and backend engineering expertise.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, tool calling, agent orchestration, and multi-step reasoning.
• Experience building scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Understanding of LLM evaluation, monitoring, testing, and production reliability.
• Proven ability to independently design and deliver complex engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar agent frameworks.
• Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent-to-tool integrations.
• OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, or open-source LLMs.
• FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, and vector databases.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building AI systems from zero to production.
• Background in fintech, payments, or financial services.
• Experience at high-growth startups or leading technology companies.

We want exceptional engineers who have personally built, deployed, and scaled real-world agentic AI systems .

Ideal candidates can demonstrate:

• Production deployment of autonomous or multi-agent AI systems.
• Deep understanding of agent orchestration, tool calling, planning, and execution.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals beyond LLM API integrations.
• End-to-end technical ownership and measurable production impact.
• Ability to build reliable, secure, scalable AI applications.

Not a fit: Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to prompt engineering, basic RAG chatbots, AI prototypes, or traditional machine learning without production agentic AI experience.
