Staff Embedded Software Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and integrate embedded software, board support packages and system-level components for connected products.
• Develop and maintain embedded Linux and Yocto-based software platforms, including hardware interfaces and system integration.
• Work with hardware engineering teams to bring up boards, diagnose system issues and resolve software-hardware integration defects.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, static analysis and verification activities to improve software reliability, stability and maintainability.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor embedded engineers and support engineering decisions across architecture, development and product delivery.

Skills Required:

• 14 - 20 years of relevant embedded and system-level software development experience.
• Extensive experience developing production embedded software using Embedded C and Embedded C++.
• Strong expertise in board support package development and embedded Linux system integration.
• Hands-on experience with Yocto-based embedded Linux platforms and system customization.
• Strong understanding of embedded architectures, hardware-software interfaces, debugging and software verification practices.

Good to Have:

• Experience with firmware development, microcontrollers and real-time operating systems.

Education: Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related discipline.
