About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer to join our dynamic team working on an exciting project focused on deploying agentic Generative AI (GenAI) solutions within the AWS cloud environment. This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable AI solutions that leverage AWS services such as SageMaker and Bedrock. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI engineering, cloud infrastructure, and MLOps practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to operationalize AI models, develop infrastructure as code, and implement best practices for CI/CD pipelines. This is a remote position suitable for candidates based in the UK, offering an opportunity to contribute to innovative AI projects on a contract basis for six months.

Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and practical experience, including:

• Proven experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions, with a strong understanding of their deployment and operationalization.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS services, particularly AWS Bedrock and SageMaker, for deploying and managing machine learning models.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and operational support for production ML systems.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform, for automating infrastructure deployment and management.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce comprehensive architecture documentation, configuration guides, and operational runbooks.
• Eligibility to pass SC or BPSS security clearance checks.

Responsibilities The core responsibilities for this role include:

• Deploy and operationalize Generative AI solutions within the AWS cloud environment, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Build and maintain highly available SageMaker endpoints, incorporating monitoring and alerting to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Develop Terraform modules to facilitate repeatable and consistent infrastructure deployments across environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines following best practices for MLOps to streamline model deployment and updates.
• Produce detailed architecture documentation, configuration guides, and operational runbooks to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver knowledge transfer sessions and ensure smooth handover of deployed solutions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement operational improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
