Job Description
Specialist Procurement Consultancy - Manager Vacancy
Location: London, with good hybrid working
I am partnering with a specialist consultancy looking for a Manager to lead client projects, develop consulting teams and help shape the growth of its procurement transformation offering.
This would suit a Senior Consultant already taking ownership of projects and teams, or an existing Manager looking for greater responsibility. Alongside delivering client engagements, you’ll work closely with a partner to develop transformation opportunities and help build this area of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage consulting projects from scoping through to delivery, taking ownership of timelines, deliverables and client expectations.
- Lead and develop project teams, providing clear direction, reviewing outputs and maintaining delivery quality.
- Apply procurement transformation experience to help clients improve how their procurement functions operate, turning recommendations into practical change.
- Build strong client relationships, lead workshops and present clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Develop proposals and support business development, working alongside a partner to grow the procurement transformation offering.
Key Skills:
- A consulting background in procurement is essential, with experience delivering client engagements independently and working effectively within a consultancy.
- Demonstrable procurement transformation/cost reduction experience, such as operating-model design, process improvement, governance, capability development or change implementation.
- Experience managing projects and guiding teams, suited to someone stepping into their first Manager role or building on early Manager experience.
- Strong communication and commercial skills, including stakeholder management, proposal development and presenting recommendations.
- An interest in working with consumer and retail clients, which will be the sector focus. Previous experience in these industries is welcome but not essential.
Why Join?
- Take ownership of client projects and teams, with scope to establish yourself at Manager level.
- Work directly with a partner to help grow the procurement transformation offering and shape its direction.
- Build on your consulting experience through varied client challenges, developing your proposal and business development skills.
- Combine hands-on delivery with the opportunity to influence how the consultancy develops its services.
- An opportunity to help develop a growing area of the consultancy alongside a partner.
