Senior Financial Crime Compliance Manager

Circa £100,000 (2 days in London office, 3 from home)

We’re working with a scaling challenger bank who are looking for a senior financial crime person to help build their second line function. You’ll be supporting their international expansion (Singapore, Dubai, India), new product development (stocks & shares, GIAs, pensions), and major change programmes across the bank.

You’ll partner directly with the MLRO and CRO on financial crime strategy and risk, leading financial crime risk assessments for new products. You’ll also support the firm’s international expansion by evaluating jurisdictional financial crime risk, adapting the Bank’s framework for cross‑border exposure.

  • Own and maintain the Bank’s financial crime and fraud policies, in line with MLR 2017, the FCA Financial Crime Guide, JMLSG Guidance and other applicable legislation.
  • Lead financial crime risk assessments for new products, new jurisdictions and wealth propositions
  • Own and draft Board‑level papers and present (or stand in) at senior forums
  • Provide hands‑on financial crime advisory across the business in a genuinely fast‑paced, agile environment
  • Act as a point of contact for the FCA, NCA and other law enforcement agencies on financial crime matters.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess the impact of emerging financial crime risks and typologies on the Bank.

You’ll have:

  • Strong financial crime experience with exposure to wealth / investments (stocks & shares ISA’s, pensions, GIAs) and ideally basic retail products (Savings).
  • Substantial experience conducting financial crime risk assessments for new products and jurisdictions.
  • Experience operating in a fast‑moving, build‑phase environment.
  • Solid knowledge of MLR 2017, the FCA Financial Crime Guide, JMLSG guidance and other applicable legislation.
  • Someone credible with senior stakeholders, able to write clear papers and present to the Board.
