Overview

We are looking for a skilled Networking Software Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in Layer 3 networking, Linux-based embedded systems, and C/C++ development. The candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating, debugging, and optimizing networking software for enterprise and carrier-grade routing and switching platforms powered by Broadcom or Marvell switching ASICs.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of IP routing, routing protocols, Linux networking, and hardware-accelerated packet forwarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Layer 3 networking features for Ethernet switches and routing platforms.
• Develop networking software using C/C++ in Linux-based embedded environments.
• Implement, integrate, and debug routing protocols such as IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, PIM, and VRRP.
• Work with Broadcom or Marvell switching ASICs to implement hardware-accelerated L2/L3 forwarding features.
• Integrate software control-plane functionality with ASIC hardware abstraction layers and SDK APIs.
• Debug packet forwarding, route programming, next-hop resolution, ECMP, and multicast issues.
• Analyze packet captures, system logs, routing tables, and hardware table dumps to identify and resolve defects.
• Troubleshoot networking issues involving VLANs, SVIs, ARP, IPv6 Neighbor Discovery, IP multicast, and interface management.
• Collaborate with hardware, platform, QA, and system engineering teams to deliver reliable networking features.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and performance optimization.

Ideal Candidate: An engineer with solid C/C++ and Linux fundamentals, practical Layer 3 networking knowledge, and hands-on experience developing or debugging networking features on Broadcom- or Marvell-based switching platforms.
