Shopify Developer (Remote / Work from Home)

About the Role

We are looking for a Shopify Developer to build, customize, and maintain Shopify stores for our agency clients. You will turn designs into high-performing storefronts, develop custom features, and work with our marketing and e-commerce teams to improve speed, user experience, and conversion rates.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Convert Figma or Adobe XD designs into pixel-accurate, responsive Shopify pages
• Develop custom sections, templates, and features on Online Store 2.0
• Integrate and configure third-party apps, APIs, payment gateways, and shipping providers
• Build custom Shopify apps or use the Shopify API (Admin, Storefront) where needed
• Migrate stores from other platforms (WooCommerce, Magento, etc.) to Shopify
• Optimize site speed, mobile performance, and Core Web Vitals
• Implement tracking and analytics (GA4, Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager) with the marketing team
• Troubleshoot bugs and provide ongoing maintenance and support for client stores
• Estimate project timelines and communicate progress clearly to project managers and clients
• Follow version control and QA practices before every release

Requirements

• 2–4 years of hands-on Shopify development experience
• Strong skills in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with Shopify themes, metafields, and Online Store 2.0
• Familiarity with Shopify APIs, webhooks, and app integrations
• Experience with Git and a portfolio of live Shopify stores
• Understanding of e-commerce UX, SEO basics, and conversion optimization
• Good written English and the ability to communicate with clients and teammates
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Shopify Plus, Shopify Functions, or checkout customization
• Knowledge of React, Node.js, or headless commerce (Hydrogen)
• Experience with Shopify Flow, Klaviyo, or subscription apps (Recharge)
• Basic knowledge of Figma and performance tools (Lighthouse, PageSpeed)
• Shopify certifications or Shopify Partner experience
