Job Description
About the Company
The hiring organization is seeking a senior AI-ML Engineer for a long-term engagement focused on building and deploying agentic AI systems and multi-agent workflows. The role combines machine learning engineering, generative AI, AWS cloud services, and enterprise integration.
About the Role
The Senior AI-ML Engineer will design, implement, test, and deploy production-grade AI solutions that address complex customer problems. The position requires hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks, advanced Python development, prompt and context engineering, and AWS services, including Amazon Bedrock.
You will lead technical discussions, make architecture decisions, mentor team members, and deliver major solution areas with minimal oversight. A key focus is designing secure cross-account IAM architectures and integrating agent orchestration frameworks with APIs and other tools. This is a remote position based in the United States, with an initial contract duration of 12 months or longer.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and deploy agentic AI systems and multi-agent workflows to solve complex customer problems.
- Lead technical discussions, drive architecture decisions, and mentor the technical team.
- Architect and integrate agent orchestration frameworks with tools and API ecosystems.
- Own major solution areas from design through delivery, working with minimal oversight.
- Design and implement cross-account IAM architectures, including IAM roles, trust policies, and permission boundaries for multi-agent systems spanning AWS accounts.
- Integrate APIs and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Develop AI solutions using Amazon Bedrock models and Guardrails, alongside relevant AWS services.
- Apply prompt engineering and context engineering techniques, including grounding, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and memory patterns.
- Support secure inter-agent communication and cross-account access where required.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of experience building production-grade machine learning or generative AI systems.
- Advanced Python programming skills.
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as Strands, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar tools.
- Strong prompt engineering and context engineering skills, including grounding, RAG, and memory patterns.
- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent-to-agent (A2A) communication.
- Experience designing and implementing cross-account AWS IAM architectures, including roles, trust policies, and permission boundaries.
- Experience with API integration from the consumer or client side.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock models and Guardrails.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, ECR, and basic VPC concepts.
Preferred Qualifications / Requirements
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore services.
- Familiarity with CloudWatch, DynamoDB, EventBridge, Step Functions, and ECS Fargate.
- Experience evaluating AI agents through automated scoring and performance tracking.
- Understanding of MCP and A2A communication patterns in multi-account environments, including cross-account invocation, service control policies (SCPs), and resource-based policies for agent-to-agent access.
- Knowledge of API security methods, including OAuth2, API keys, and Basic Authentication.
- Experience with observability practices covering logging, metrics, and tracing, as well as CI/CD pipeline setup.
- Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval patterns.
- Experience using generative AI coding assistants such as Kiro or Q Developer.
- Knowledge of legacy technologies such as Java/Spring, Sybase, DB2, or COBOL for agentic modernization or integration design.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries, including compliance-aware delivery involving trade surveillance, data controls, and audit requirements.
- Experience delivering large-scale application portfolios using reusable patterns or components across 50+ applications, including wave planning and throughput measurement.
Location and Work Arrangement
- United States-based, fully remote position.
