AI Tools / Automation Engineer

Hybrid – 1st shift

Required to be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and work from home on Mondays and Fridays.

Flexible hours, but ideally present during core business hours (9-3pm)

Top 3 Skills:

1. Knowledge of Python required

2. Has experience creating AI agents/tools

3. Good project management skills – they will be working on multiple projects at the same time (timing plan, track progress)

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree required

Years of experience: 2-4 years experience required

Knowledge of Python required.

Experience creating AI agents and tools required.

Experience with Databricks and Claude preferred.

Organized and able to work on multiple projects in parallel.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Job Description:

• Create apps/tools to automate processes or enable more efficient processes by utilizing GM systems, including AI.

• Observe how the team works and identify opportunities for automation or tools that will help the team operate more efficiently and with higher quality.

• Depending on the project, work individually or collaborate with a group of people to complete tools/apps.

• Create project plan and timeline, communicate plan, and provide status updates.

• Create clear documentation for tool, roll out tool and train team members on how to use the tool. This can include hosting knowledge sharing training sessions or host open office hours.

• Improve tools based on team feedback.

• Collaborate to create system to track and prioritize requests for tool improvements

Business Group – 2 Staff Engineers leading overall execution, over 100 parts they own between two different electrical architectures, they help bring the entire team together, there is another team that manages the component validation.

These two positions will be working specifically on AI tools, creating AI tools, looking at the team needs and figure out how they can use automated tools for different processes, the team is veryhardware focused, these people should be able to do more software work very AI focused (programming, automation of processes, getting data and analyzing and providing suggestions)
