Job Description

We are not accepting resumes from third party vendors. PLEASE do not inquire.

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Product Manager on a contract to hire basis to advance an existing AI platform supporting technology contract analysis and vendor negotiation for community banks and credit unions.

The initial MVP is complete. The immediate priority is to understand how our business analysts and negotiators work, translate their feedback into clear specifications, and manage the development improvements needed to complete a live client negotiation through the platform.

This role centers on two responsibilities: working closely with business subject matter experts to define what the product needs to do, and holding external engineering partners accountable for delivering working, tested software.

The ideal candidate combines product judgment, technical fluency, curiosity, and operational discipline. Success requires listening carefully, validating assumptions, communicating candidly, and following delivery through to demonstrated business results.

Key Responsibilities

Business Workflow Discovery

• Work directly with senior business analysts and negotiators to understand how they evaluate technology contracts and prepare negotiations.

• Observe actual workflows, including contract review, term mapping, pricing comparisons, baseline development, invoice reconciliation, and negotiation preparation.

• Ask thoughtful questions and validate understanding with the people performing the work.

• Identify where the platform can reduce administrative effort and improve analytical accuracy and productivity.

Product Requirements and Prioritization

• Translate complex deal workflows into clear product specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.

• Review the existing MVP, product requirements, documentation, and recorded user feedback.

• Maintain a prioritized backlog focused on complete, usable business workflows.

• Partner with the CEO to establish release goals, scope, and measures of success.

• Document decisions, dependencies, and scope changes so business users and developers remain aligned.

Engineering Partner Management

• Direct day-to-day delivery with external engineering partners.

• Ensure developers understand the business purpose and expected behavior of each feature.

• Evaluate sprint deliverables against acceptance criteria, including functionality, data accuracy, integrations, and exception handling.

• Require demonstrations of complete workflows and verify that underlying data pipelines work correctly.

• Address missed commitments, incomplete functionality, and quality issues promptly.

• Communicate delivery progress, risks, and trade-offs candidly to leadership.

Testing and Operational Adoption

• Lead structured user acceptance testing with the analysts and negotiators who will use the platform.

• Maintain a shared defect list and confirm fixes with the original reporters.

• Validate releases using representative contracts, invoices, and negotiation scenarios.

• Coordinate phased rollout, user training, and support processes.

• Guide the MVP toward successful use on a live client negotiation, then prioritize subsequent improvements.

AI Product Quality and Technical Coordination

• Understand how the platform uses LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows.

• Read and interpret technical documentation sufficiently to work effectively with engineering partners.

• Define expected outputs and quality benchmarks for extraction, contract comparison, and negotiation recommendations.

• Establish requirements for source traceability, human review, and handling uncertain or incorrect outputs.

• Partner with technical resources on data quality, Azure operations, security, reliability, and AI usage costs.

Product Strategy and Continuous Improvement

• Connect near-term delivery priorities to the company’s longer-term product goals.

• Measure workflow completion, accuracy, adoption, and productivity improvements.

• Maintain the roadmap using business evidence and user feedback.

• Support future development of a customer-facing, self-service offering once the internal platform is proven.
