Construction Framer Carpenter

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Framer Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing the structural frameworks that form the backbone of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise in framing, will be essential in delivering high-quality projects on time and within safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on experience to bring architectural visions to life.

Duties

• Use tools such as saw and nail gun safely
• Measure, mark, cut and assemble lumber and engineered wood
• Frame floors, walls, roofs, ceilings and stairs
• Install sill plates, joists, studs, headers, rafters and trusses
• Set and brace walls so they’re plumb, level and square
• Install sheathing and subfloor on walls, roofs and floors
• Frame window, door and other rough openings to spec
• Install blocking, backing, hangers, hold-downs and other hardware
• Use power and hand tools safely (nail guns, circular and miter saws, levels, lasers)
• Work at heights on ladders, scaffolding and fall protection
• Follow building codes, safety rules and OSHA requirements
• Work with the foreman, other trades and inspectors
• Keep the job site clean and organized
• Load, carry and stage materials

Experience

• Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on framing.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery used in framing.
• Must Know how to read a tape.
• Demonstrated capability in working safely in physically demanding environments involving heavy lifting and working at heights
• Must know how to frame. Use skill saw and nail gun.
• Must be able to frame if asked to besides being a helper to the framer.

We are only looking for framers who already have experience in the field at the moment.

Funciones

• Usar herramientas como sierras y pistolas de clavos de forma segura
• Medir, marcar, cortar y ensamblar madera y madera de ingeniería
• Armar estructuras de pisos, paredes, techos, cielos rasos y escaleras
• Instalar soleras, viguetas, montantes, dinteles, cabios y cerchas
• Colocar y apuntalar paredes a plomo, a nivel y a escuadra
• Instalar el entablado (sheathing) y el contrapiso en paredes, techos y pisos
• Armar los vanos de ventanas, puertas y otras aberturas según las especificaciones
• Instalar bloqueos, refuerzos, colgadores, anclajes y otros herrajes
• Usar herramientas eléctricas y manuales de forma segura (pistolas de clavos, sierras circulares e ingletadoras, niveles, láseres)
• Trabajar en altura con escaleras, andamios y equipo anticaídas
• Cumplir los códigos de construcción, las normas de seguridad y los requisitos de OSHA
• Coordinar con el capataz, otros oficios y los inspectores
• Mantener la obra limpia y ordenada
• Cargar, transportar y preparar los materiales

Experiencia

• Experiencia comprobada en obras de construcción, principalmente en estructuras.
• Experiencia práctica con herramientas manuales, herramientas eléctricas y maquinaria pesada usadas en estructuras.
• Saber leer una cinta métrica.
• Capacidad comprobada para trabajar de forma segura en trabajos físicamente exigentes, como levantar cargas pesadas y trabajar en altura.
• Saber armar estructuras y usar sierra circular y pistola de clavos.
• Poder armar estructuras cuando se le pida, además de trabajar como ayudante del framer.

Por ahora solo buscamos framers que ya tengan experiencia en el oficio.

Pay: $23.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
