🎯 Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP PLM Business Process Lead to own the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) workstream within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation.

This is a business-first leadership role , focused on driving process design, aligning business operations with SAP capabilities, and ensuring that business requirements guide system implementation.

The ideal candidate combines deep SAP PLM functional expertise with strong business process design experience and a proven ability to lead business-driven SAP transformations.

This is a U.S.-based remote position, with occasional travel to the client’s location in Ohio for on-site workshops as needed. Daily office attendance is not required.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end SAP PLM business process workstream within an S/4HANA transformation

• Own business process design, ensuring alignment with operational objectives and SAP capabilities

• Lead fit-to-standard workshops, including occasional on-site sessions in Ohio

• Translate SAP S/4HANA functionality into business processes, master data requirements, and operational inputs

• Design and optimize PLM processes across product development, engineering, manufacturing, and commercialization

• Identify and resolve cross-functional process dependencies across SAP workstreams

• Develop and maintain business process flows, documentation, and process models

• Leverage SAP Best Practices and fit-to-standard principles to minimize unnecessary customization

• Ensure process integrity and consistency throughout design, build, testing, and deployment

• Collaborate with business leaders, functional consultants, and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions

• Drive process standardization, governance, and continuous improvement

🧠 Required Skills

Must-have:

• 8+ years of SAP consulting, business process design, or transformation experience

• Proven leadership of SAP PLM workstreams in S/4HANA implementations

• Strong business process expertise beyond SAP system functionality

• Deep SAP PLM knowledge, including BOM, formulations, specifications, engineering changes, NPI, packaging, and regulatory compliance

• Experience leading fit-to-standard workshops and documenting end-to-end process flows

• Ability to translate SAP capabilities into business processes and master data requirements

• Strong cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills

• Professional English fluency

• U.S.-based with availability for occasional on-site workshops in Ohio

Nice-to-have:

• SAP Activate methodology and SAP Best Practices experience

• BPMN process modeling and SAP Signavio experience

• Consumer products, manufacturing, or process industry experience

• Knowledge of SAP MM, PP, QM, and related integrations
