Freelance Graphic Designer

Overview

Trigger House is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Freelance Graphic Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a versatile designer who enjoys bringing ideas to life through compelling visuals, innovative concepts, and thoughtful design execution.

Working across a variety of experiential marketing campaigns, brand activations, and new business proposals, this individual will contribute to projects from initial concept development through final production. The ideal candidate combines strong illustration and graphic design capabilities with excellent organizational skills, adaptability, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop creative concepts, illustrations, and graphic design assets for experiential marketing campaigns, brand activations, client proposals, and internal initiatives.
• Design high-quality graphics for digital, print, environmental, and large-format applications, including production-ready artwork.
• Collaborate with Creative, Production, and Account teams to translate client objectives into compelling visual experiences.
• Support spatial and environmental design concepts, including layouts, mockups, and presentation materials.
• Manage design workflows across multiple projects, balancing priorities, deadlines, and evolving client needs.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and production partners on material sourcing, design feasibility, and execution.
• Ensure all deliverables meet established quality standards, production specifications, and brand guidelines.
• Proactively communicate project updates, challenges, and recommended solutions to department leadership.
• Stay current on industry trends, design technologies, and production techniques to inspire creative solutions.
• Embrace feedback, contribute to process improvements, and collaborate across teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated professional experience in graphic design, illustration, or a related creative discipline; experience in experiential marketing, advertising, or event production strongly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; familiarity with additional Adobe Creative Cloud applications preferred.
• Strong conceptual illustration skills and the ability to communicate creative ideas through sketches, renderings, and visual presentations.
• Experience preparing production-ready artwork, including large-format graphics and print files.
• Understanding of environmental graphics, spatial design, materials, and fabrication processes preferred.
• 3D modeling or rendering capabilities are a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with leadership.
• Ability to interpret creative direction, ask thoughtful questions, and translate feedback into actionable design solutions.
• Adaptable, resourceful, and proactive in navigating changing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and familiarity with collaborative project management tools.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong design execution, conceptual thinking, and illustration capabilities is required.

Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
