AI Platform Administrator & Technology Researcher (f/m/d)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced AI Platform Administrator & Technology Researcher to manage, secure and continuously improve our AI environment, with a strong focus on the Microsoft ecosystem.

The role combines hands-on technical administration, AI security and governance with the practical evaluation of emerging AI technologies.

The position works closely with IT Security and our Technology Department (R&D) to evaluate new technologies and support their secure and effective adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Platform Administration & Operations

• Administer and maintain AI-related services across Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Platform, Azure AI Services, Microsoft Foundry, GitHub Copilot and related technologies.
• Manage AI-specific tenant and environment configurations, licensing, capacity, usage and monitoring.
• Configure and maintain AI agents, integrations, connectors and related services.
• Support the technical rollout, operation and lifecycle management of Copilot, AI agents, applications, plugins and automations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure reliable, scalable operation of AI services.

AI Security, Governance & Compliance

• Implement and maintain AI-specific security and governance controls in alignment with existing corporate IT and Security policies.
• Support the implementation of access controls, identities, permissions, DLP policies, data classification and audit capabilities.
• Evaluate security, privacy and compliance risks associated with AI platforms and services.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with GDPR and applicable corporate and regulatory requirements, in collaboration with the responsible internal teams.
• Contribute to technical approval processes and governance standards for AI services, agents and integrations.
• Collaborate closely with IT Security to ensure consistent security architecture and avoid duplicate governance structures.

AI Technology Research & Evaluation

• Work closely with our Technology Department (R&D) to explore, test and evaluate emerging AI technologies and platform capabilities.
• Continuously monitor Microsoft product developments, roadmaps and new AI capabilities.
• Conduct hands-on tests, proofs of concept and technical evaluations of new AI features.
• Assess technologies regarding security, governance, scalability, integration, operational feasibility and business value.
• Develop recommendations for pilot projects and potential production adoption.
• Challenge existing technical approaches and propose improvements based on practical findings.

Standards, Automation & Documentation

• Develop reusable configuration standards, technical guidelines, checklists and operational playbooks.
• Automate administrative processes, configuration validation, monitoring and reporting where possible.
• Document technical evaluations, operational procedures and governance requirements.
• Provide technical assessments and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong practical experience in Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Entra ID, Power Platform and Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Services and related cloud integrations.
• Solid technical understanding of identity management, access control, DLP, information protection and cloud security.
• Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, scripting and administrative automation.
• Experience in configuring, integrating and troubleshooting cloud-based services and applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to critically evaluate technical solutions and propose alternatives.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with IT, Security and technology teams.
• Good communication and technical documentation skills in English.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot administration and related development tooling.
• Experience evaluating new AI technologies through hands-on tests and proof-of-concept implementations.
