Job Description
You are the person who notices when numbers don’t match, takes pride in keeping financial records organized, and won’t consider a task complete until everything balances. You thrive on accuracy, consistency, and structure, and you genuinely enjoy working with numbers. You’re methodical in your approach, dependable with deadlines, and comfortable working independently once expectations are clear. You understand that even the smallest accounting discrepancy matters, and you take satisfaction in identifying and resolving it. If you enjoy organized processes, financial accuracy, and the satisfaction of knowing every transaction is accounted for, you may be exactly who we’re looking for.
The Role
As our Assistant Accountant, you’ll work directly alongside our existing financial bookkeeper to support the accounting and financial recordkeeping needs of multiple business entities within Freedom Management.
Your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of recurring bookkeeping and accounting tasks, helping ensure financial records remain accurate, organized, and up to date. Your day may include reconciling bank and credit card accounts, categorizing transactions, reviewing financial records for discrepancies, organizing supporting documentation, and assisting with monthly accounting processes.
You’ll also play an important role in preparing our financial records for tax season by ensuring transactions are properly recorded, reconciliations are completed, and supporting documentation is readily available.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, values precision, and takes pride in completing detailed financial work correctly and consistently. You’ll need to be comfortable managing multiple entities, following established accounting procedures, identifying discrepancies, and communicating outstanding items to our bookkeeper.

Who Will Thrive in This Role
You’re someone who genuinely enjoys working with numbers and finds satisfaction in keeping financial records accurate and organized.
You prefer clear expectations, established processes, and having the time to complete your work thoroughly. You’re comfortable reviewing transactions, investigating discrepancies, and following an issue through until it’s resolved.
You understand that accuracy is more important than simply checking something off a list, and you don’t hesitate to ask questions when something doesn’t look right.
Most importantly, you’re someone your team can rely on. When you’re responsible for a reconciliation, report, or accounting task, you take ownership of completing it correctly and on time.
If you’re detail-oriented, dependable, analytical, and committed to producing accurate financial work, we want to hear from you. Join Freedom Management and become an important part of a growing accounting operation where your attention to detail and consistency will make a meaningful difference.
