Full Time Picture Framer

Overview

We are looking for a full time, experienced picture framer to join our team of 3. Working days will be Tuesday - Saturday. The job is fully salaried and contracted with holiday entitlement etc.

We are into our 31st year on this lovely, busy, friendly high st in Queens Park, NW London but sadly are loosing one of our head framers to sunnier climes. We know the next natural member of our team is out there!

In this role, you will be responsible for leasing with and advising customers, assembling & creating beautiful frames and more. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills in a vibrant environment dedicated to artistry and attention to detail.

Duties

• Measure, cut, assemble, and finish custom picture frames using various hand and power tools
• Select appropriate materials for framing projects
• Prepare artwork for framing by cleaning, mounting, or backing as needed
• Use carpentry, joinery, and masonry techniques to ensure sturdy and aesthetically pleasing frames
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and productivity

Skills

• Strong fabrication and assembly skills with experience using hand tools and power tools
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship and quality control
• Good communication skills to understand customer needs
• Prior experience in framing is essential
