Landscape & Biophilic Designer

About Vertvista
Vertvista Eco Solutions is a biophilic-design and commercial landscaping company. We design, supply, install and maintain indoor plantscapes, planters, green walls and landscapes for corporate offices and IT campuses across India, and look after many of them under annual maintenance (AMC) contracts.

The role
You will turn client briefs into designs we can sell and build: indoor plantscapes for office floors, green walls, terrace and podium gardens, and outdoor landscapes for corporate and residential clients. You will work with our sales, project and estimation teams from our Mumbai office.

What you will do
1. Prepare concept options from the brief, site photos and drawings: layouts, planting plans, sections and details in AutoCAD.
2. Build 3D views and renders (SketchUp with Lumion, Enscape, D5 or V-Ray) and the client presentation.
3. Choose plants and planters that suit each space, its light, air-conditioning and maintenance, and prepare the plant schedule with species, sizes and pot sizes.
4. Take quantities off your drawings for the BOQ and check them with the estimation team before the quote goes out.
5. Revise designs quickly on client and architect comments and keep a clear record of versions.
6. Prepare working drawings for the site team and as-built drawings at handover; visit sites to measure and check the work.

What you need
1. 2 to 5 years in landscape, interior or biophilic design, with a portfolio of built or fully detailed projects. A portfolio link is required.
2. Strong AutoCAD and SketchUp, at least one rendering tool, Photoshop and PowerPoint.
3. Good plant knowledge for Indian conditions, indoor and outdoor.
4. Able to handle several projects at once and meet deadlines.
5. Based in Mumbai and working from our office, with site visits.
