Front-End & UI/UX Engineer (AI-Fluent)

About the Role

We are hiring a mid-level Front-End & UI/UX Engineer to design, build and continuously improve the user experience of the Rahat AI platform. You will own the interface end to end, from wireframe to production code, and use AI tools every day to ship faster and at higher quality.

This is a full-time, fully remote role with a 3-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain responsive, accessible UI components and screens for the Rahat AI platform using React and TypeScript.

• Improve the platform’s UX: review user flows, find friction points, and ship measurable enhancements.

• Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs, and turn them into production-ready code.

• Maintain and extend a consistent design system with reusable components, tokens and patterns.

• Use AI tools (code assistants, design-to-code and prompt-driven workflows) to speed up development, testing and iteration.

• Design clear interfaces for AI-powered features, including loading, streaming, error and empty states.

• Work closely with backend engineers and product owners to integrate APIs and deliver features end to end.

• Optimize front-end performance, cross-browser behavior and accessibility.

• Write unit and component tests, take part in code reviews, and document your work.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of professional front-end development experience.

• Strong skills in React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.

• Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS and component libraries such as Radix UI or MUI.

• Solid UI/UX sense: layout, typography, colour, spacing, accessibility and responsive design.

• Proficiency in Figma or a similar tool for wireframes and prototypes.

• Strong working knowledge of AI tools such as Claude, Copilot and Cursor, and the judgment to review and refine AI-generated code and designs.

• Experience consuming REST APIs and handling server state (React Query or similar) and forms (React Hook Form with Zod or similar).

• Comfortable with Git, pnpm and code review workflows.

• Clear written and spoken English, and the discipline to work independently in a remote team.

Nice to Have

• Experience building AI product interfaces such as chat, streaming responses, copilots or agent workflows.

• Experience with Tauri, Capacitor or other cross-platform wrappers.

• Familiarity with data visualization and complex data-grid or dashboard UIs.

• Knowledge of WebAuthn, real-time media (WebRTC) or offline-first sync.

• Motion design and micro-interaction skills.

• A portfolio or live examples of UI/UX work.
