About The Role We are seeking a skilled React Native Developer to join our team on a contract basis. This role is initially for three months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and workload. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and adherence to best practices. This position offers the flexibility of 100% remote work and a competitive daily rate of £425 outside IR35. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile development, with a focus on React Native, and will be instrumental in delivering seamless, offline-capable mobile experiences for our clients.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in mobile application development using React Native.
• Hands-on experience with Expo for building and deploying applications.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, including defining data models, API contracts, and managing application state.
• Demonstrable experience in developing offline-first or offline-capable mobile apps, with a clear understanding of associated challenges.
• Experience working with on-device databases such as expo-sqlite, WatermelonDB, Realm, or MMKV.
• Knowledge of implementing request queuing, retry mechanisms, and background sync processes.
• Understanding of data synchronization challenges, conflict resolution strategies, and ensuring data consistency across devices.
• Familiarity with data fetching and state management tools like TanStack Query with persistence, Redux Toolkit, or Zustand.
• Experience publishing applications to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
