Sr. Interior Designer

Position Purpose

As an Interior Designer at The Finite Co., you will translate client visions into functional, high-end residential interiors and bespoke joinery packages. Working across kitchens, bathrooms, walk-in robes, bespoke wall panelling, and living feature joinery, you will guide projects through initial space planning, 3D visualization, detailed design documentation, and client approvals. You will collaborate closely with the Design Lead and manufacturing partners to ensure aesthetic intent aligns with millimeter fabrication accuracy.

Core Responsibilities1. Concept Design & Visual Presentation

• Develop comprehensive design proposals, including 2D space planning, furniture/joinery layouts, mood boards, and material palettes.
• Produce photo-realistic 3D rendering packages (SketchUp, Enscape, 3ds Max/V-Ray) to present custom joinery, spatial lighting, and architectural finishes.
• Present concept schemes to clients via in-person meetings, Microsoft Teams presentations, and digital communication channels.

1. Detailed Joinery Documentation & Specification

• Prepare accurate 2D CAD drafting sets, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and joinery fabrication callouts.
• Specify interior finishes, carcass substrates, door profiles, benchtop materials (engineered stone, porcelain, natural stone), edge banding, and decorative hardware.
• Prepare detailed appliance, sink, tapware, and lighting integration schedules, verifying clearances and service cutouts prior to manufacture.
• Ensure strict adherence to company CAD standards, layering conventions, and project revision control protocols.

1. Client & Project Coordination

• Act as a direct point of contact for clients throughout the design and selection phases, answering technical queries and providing aesthetic guidance.
• Coordinate design revisions systematically based on client consultations and site checks, securing written approvals before order processing.
• Liaise with workshop teams, CNC detailers, and project managers to clarify design details and resolve on-site or factory queries efficiently.

1. Showroom & Material Curation

• Maintain the design library, sample displays, and supplier finish boards across laminate, timber veneer, stone, fluted panels, and architectural hardware.
• Assist in developing display vignettes and bespoke joinery installations for company showroom presentations.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience (2+ years preferred) in interior design or interior architecture with a dedicated focus on custom cabinetry, residential joinery, and space planning.
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for construction and joinery detailing.
• High-level skill in 3D Modeling & Rendering software (e.g., SketchUp + Enscape/V-Ray, 3ds Max).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word) and Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
• Manufacturing Knowledge: Sound understanding of cabinet construction methods, standard board sizes, hardware mechanisms (Blum, Grass, or equivalent), and architectural site tolerances.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal, visual, and written communication skills with a client-focused attitude and professional presentation manner.
• Organization: Strong time management skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously.

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹46,000.00 per month
