About The Role We are seeking an experienced Lead .NET Developer with a comprehensive understanding of legacy application analysis, infrastructure migration, and cloud-based modernization, particularly within AWS environments. This full-time position is based in Austin, TX, or Fort Mill, SC, and requires a professional with over 10 years of hands-on experience in .NET development and enterprise application management. The ideal candidate will take a leadership role in guiding technical strategies, making critical architectural decisions, and executing complex migration and modernization projects. This role demands a proactive individual capable of balancing technical expertise with strategic planning, stakeholder communication, and team collaboration. The Lead .NET Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, security, DevOps, and architecture, to ensure the successful delivery of projects aligned with business goals and compliance standards.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in .NET development, with strong proficiency in .NET Framework 3.5/4.x, ASP.NET WebForms, and legacy UI components. Expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting legacy systems, including decompiled code and limited documentation, is essential. Proven experience in infrastructure migration, cloud transition, and AWS services is required. Candidates should have solid SQL Server skills, including database performance tuning and deployment automation. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Octopus Deploy or GitHub Actions is preferred. Strong technical leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make informed decisions under operational constraints are critical. Additional qualifications include experience with security remediation, application modernization, and integration architectures.

Responsibilities Own the technical direction, stability, and delivery of the ATDB.Web platform and its supporting services, including batch jobs, import, and notification systems. Make and justify critical technical decisions regarding build strategies, remediation efforts, and migration sequencing, ensuring compliance with timelines and governance standards. Analyze legacy ASP.NET WebForms applications by reviewing source code, configurations, and system behavior, translating findings into clear specifications for QA and stakeholders. Lead infrastructure migration activities, including operating system upgrades and cloud transitions, with a focus on minimal risk and operational continuity. Develop and execute modernization strategies, identifying API opportunities, cloud-native services, and rebuild plans, translating these into structured project backlogs. Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and lead security remediation activities, including static analysis and dependency management. Collaborate across teams—Infrastructure, Security, DevSecOps, and Architecture—to coordinate deployment, network, and security configurations, ensuring seamless integration and system reliability. Identify operational efficiencies, automation opportunities, and cost-saving measures, continuously improving deployment and support processes. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and dependencies, while driving initiatives to modernize legacy applications and optimize cloud infrastructure.
