About The Role VITS US is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions primarily focused on POS systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C/C++ programming, with extensive experience in developing multithreaded applications and working within POSIX environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including QA, operations, and client support to ensure the successful deployment and operation of our products. Your expertise will be pivotal in troubleshooting, optimizing, and enhancing our software offerings to meet the evolving needs of our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the growth and success of VITS US.

Qualifications Bachelors degree and Ten (10) + years experience in Information Technology, including minimum five (5) years experience in hands-on C/C++ programming preferably on POS systems.

Basic knowledge of SQL queries is a plus.

Ability to quickly learn and practically apply new concepts or principles, which can be confirmed by prior experience.

Experience utilizing Agile SCRUM development process.

Ability to interact well with user base, development teams and other technical teams.

Ability to diagnose and resolve issues/problems in aggressive timeframes.

Strong work ethic and ability to handle high pressure situations with minimum direction.

Team player, with proven ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively.

Responsibilities Provides technical advice on complex programming challenges.

Expertise in programming in C/C++ with a focus on POS systems.

Experience working with POSIX message queues and multithreaded applications.

Knowledge of Unix shell scripting and Perl for automation and scripting tasks.

Collaborate with relevant users and development managers to define requirements for specific software releases.

Write detailed technical design specifications for software development projects.

Debug and troubleshoot both new and existing code to ensure optimal performance and stability.

Work closely with QA and Operations teams to facilitate smooth rollout of new releases and updates.

Provide ongoing production support for daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes.

Assist support and project personnel in resolving moderately complex programming issues.

Coordinate with clients and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements.

Develop comprehensive test plans to verify the functionality of new or modified programs.

Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews to maintain high coding standards.
