What You’ll Do

• Develop and establish clear, practical electrical designs aligned with industry best practices, client specifications, and regulatory codes.
• Create detailed drawings, including plans, sections, and isometrics, that support project execution.
• Manage project documentation meticulously, including CAD files, reference folders, and updates.
• Lead or assist in project scope estimation, work hour forecasting, drawing reviews, and quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate directly with clients to communicate design concepts and adapt to scope modifications.
• Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure seamless project progression.

What You Bring

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for accurate design and drafting.
• Associate Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of solid drafting experience within electrical design.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), power distribution systems (480V – 12kV), lighting, grounding, motor controls, and heat tracing.
• Proven experience in energy, chemical, or industrial projects is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and independently.

Nice To Have

• Experience serving as a Project Lead or Discipline Lead.
• Additional certifications or specialized training in electrical design or project management.
• Knowledge of other electrical design software or project management tools.

Preferred Education & Experience

• An Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related fields.
• 5 to 7 years of professional drafting and design experience in the electrical sector.
• Practical experience with industrial or large-scale energy projects.
