Senior BI Architect – Databricks, AWS & Self-Service Analytics

**FULLY REMOTE**

ScolerTec is seeking multiple Senior BI Architects – Databricks, AWS & Self-Service Analytics to architect enterprise reporting and self-service analytics solutions that serve both technical and nontechnical users.

This role will define BI architecture, semantic models, governed metrics, dashboard/reporting standards, security, performance, and integration with modern cloud data platforms.

The ideal candidate has strong enterprise BI architecture experience, hands-on knowledge of multiple self-service BI platforms, and experience integrating BI solutions with Databricks and AWS .

The source role requires end-to-end BI architecture, self-service reporting, semantic/analytical models, advanced SQL, performance, governance, and enterprise BI tools including Qlik, QuickSight, Tableau, and others.

Key Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end BI and analytics architecture.
• Design enterprise self-service reporting capabilities.
• Architect scalable dashboards and interactive analytics.
• Evaluate and integrate BI tools such as Qlik, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, and Amazon QuickSight.
• Integrate BI platforms with Databricks and AWS data services.
• Define semantic layers, governed datasets, KPI definitions, and reusable business metrics.
• Design solutions for both technical analysts and nontechnical business users.
• Establish BI security, access control, row-level security, and governance standards.
• Partner with data engineering teams to curate performant reporting datasets.
• Define dashboard/reporting performance and usability standards.
• Support metadata, lineage, and catalog integration.
• Establish BI architecture standards, reusable patterns, and technical documentation.
• Drive adoption of enterprise self-service analytics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specialized BI/analytics experience.
• 5+ years in BI architecture, technical leadership, or senior solution-design roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least two enterprise BI platforms.
• Strong experience with self-service analytics for nontechnical business users.
• Strong Databricks/lakehouse experience.
• Strong AWS analytics experience.
• Advanced SQL.
• Strong semantic modeling and dimensional modeling experience.
• Experience defining governed metrics, KPIs, certified datasets, and reusable semantic layers.
• Experience with security, RBAC/RLS, lineage, and BI governance.
• Experience delivering BI solutions in regulated or high-sensitivity environments preferred.
