Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities Embedded Software Engineer Intern

  • Assist in the development of embedded firmware for microcontroller-based products using Embedded C.
  • Support implementation and testing of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485, Modbus, BLE, and MQTT.
  • Develop and debug firmware for industrial automation, IoT, telematics, and vehicle electronics products.
  • Participate in board bring-up, firmware integration, and hardware-software debugging activities.
  • Support development of drivers for sensors, displays, keypads, relays, ADCs, RTCs, and external peripherals.
  • Assist in implementing data logging, communication, and control algorithms.
  • Perform unit testing, functional testing, and validation of embedded systems.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot firmware issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, serial terminals, and debugging tools.
  • Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and software release notes.
  • Collaborate with hardware, mobile application, and cloud development teams for product integration.
  • Support field testing and validation of embedded products.
  • Follow software development processes, version control practices, and coding standards.

Desired Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Embedded C programming.
  • Understanding of microcontrollers such as STM32, TI, ESP32, PIC, AVR, etc.
  • Familiarity with UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE, or MQTT protocols.
  • Knowledge of debugging tools and embedded development environments.
  • Understanding of RTOS concepts is an added advantage.
  • Passion for embedded systems, electronics, and product development.
