We are growing throughout Northeast Ohio and are looking for a motivated, relationship-driven young professional to join our team as a Sales Assistant.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside one of our top-performing Sales Consultants, learn the Dale Carnegie business from the inside, and develop into a full-time Sales Consultant and potential future Dale Carnegie Certified Trainer.

Position Summary

This is a full-time developmental role designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in professional sales, training, leadership development, and business consulting.

During the first two years, you will work closely with an experienced Dale Carnegie Sales Consultant, assisting with prospecting, client relationships, sales support, account management, and training program delivery. You will receive hands-on coaching, participate in Dale Carnegie programs, and gain firsthand experience working with executives, business owners, HR leaders, and organizational decisionmakers.

By Year 3, the goal is for you to have developed the skills, confidence, and business acumen necessary to manage your own sales territory and begin the process of becoming a Dale Carnegie Certified Trainer.

This role is ideal for a young professional who is ambitious, coachable, people-oriented, and excited by the opportunity to grow into a consultative sales career.

3-Year Growth Path

Year 1: Learn the Business

Compensation: $36,000 Salary

You will:

• Work directly with a top-performing Sales Consultant
• Attend client meetings and sales presentations
• Learn consultative B2B sales techniques
• Assist with prospecting, lead generation, and account management
• Schedule meetings and support sales activities
• Learn Salesforce CRM and Dale Carnegie sales processes
• Participate in Dale Carnegie training programs
• Begin developing business relationships throughout the territory

Year 2: Grow Your Influence

Compensation: $42,000 Salary + Sales Goal Achievement Bonus Structure

You will:

• Take a more active role in client meetings and sales conversations
• Manage select accounts and opportunities under supervision
• Conduct discovery conversations with prospects
• Help deliver exceptional client experiences
• Continue completing Dale Carnegie professional development programs
• Build confidence presenting solutions to business leaders
• Begin creating your own pipeline and business relationships

Year 3: Launch Your Career

Compensation: Independent Sales Consultant

• Transition into your own B2B Sales Consultant Accounts
• Earn 20% commission on all revenue collected
• Build your own book of business
• Manage the full sales process independently
• Begin the Dale Carnegie Certified Trainer development process
• Continue growing as both a sales professional and facilitator

What You’ll Do

• Support prospecting and business development efforts
• Help identify and qualify new business opportunities
• Accompany senior consultants to client meetings and presentations
• Build relationships with executives, business owners, and HR leaders
• Assist with proposal preparation and follow-up activities
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity tracking
• Support client onboarding and ongoing account management
• Participate in community networking and business events
• Attend and complete Dale Carnegie training programs
