A friendly family in Newton is seeking a loving, organized, and responsible full-time Family Assistant/Nanny to care for their two school-aged children, an 8.5-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced caregiver who enjoys balancing hands-on childcare with family assistant responsibilities. The family is hoping to find someone who will become a valued part of their household and grow with them for years to come.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Non-smoker
• CPR / First Aid certified
• Vaccinated for Covid and Flu
• 3+ years of relevant childcare experience, including experience with school-aged children
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• School pick-up and transportation to extracurricular activities
• Supporting homework and school routines
• Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment while maintaining appropriate boundaries
• Preparing simple, healthy family meals
• Family laundry
• Light household tidying and organization
• Running errands as needed
• Helping keep the household running smoothly with general family assistant tasks

About the Family

This is a welcoming family where both parents work from home at times from their home offices. They are looking for a nanny who is comfortable working independently and managing the afternoon routine while parents are available as needed. A vehicle will be provided for all work-related driving and may also be available for personal use as an added benefit.

The family is hoping to find someone who will become a long-term member of their household and build a lasting relationship with their children.

Position Details

• Location: Newton, MA
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 11:00am-6:00pm; Thursday: 2:30pm-9:30pm
• Hours: Approximately 35 hours/week
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hourly Rate: $33-38/hour BOE; taxes withheld
• Driving Required: Yes; vehicle provided for work-related driving and potential personal use
