Job Description
Job title: SharePoint Online Developer, Document Management (Federal, Contingent on Award)
About Bull Fat
Bull Fat LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) based in Land O Lakes, Florida. We do cybersecurity, IT governance, and process improvement work for federal agencies, and we’ve built SharePoint solutions for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
The role
We’re putting together a team this week for a federal agency that wants a document control system built inside its Microsoft 365 tenant. The system will manage standard operating procedures (SOPs), forms, and job aids from draft through publication and archive. You’d be our lead SharePoint developer, building it from the ground up and supporting it after go-live.
This position depends on contract award. Work would start December 1, 2026, for a one-year base period with a possible option year. We’ll name you in our response to the agency, so we’re looking to bring someone on now.
What you’ll build
-
Version control with full revision history, and archived versions locked read-only
-
Approval routing that keeps drafts hidden from readers until they’re published
-
Scheduled publishing that automatically archives the previous version
-
A searchable catalog where readers open procedures as formatted pages and never touch a document library
-
Automated reminders for upcoming publications and review cycles
-
Role-based access for readers, content administrators, and system administrators
What you need
-
Several years of hands-on SharePoint Online development (building it yourself, not only administering it)
-
SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and Power Automate
-
Strong document management experience: versioning, content approval, permissions, retention
-
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on
-
Ability to pass a federal Tier 1 (low risk) background investigation
Nice to have
-
Work in Government Community Cloud (GCC) or another federal Microsoft 365 tenant
-
Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA accessibility
-
Experience moving content from Word, PDF, and Excel into SharePoint
-
Federal contracting experience
To apply, send your resume along with a short description of one or two SharePoint projects you’ve built: who it was for, what it did, and roughly how many people used it. We’re reviewing applications this week.
