Freelance Graphic Designer (InDesign, Direct Mail Print)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced freelance Graphic Designer to produce direct-mail marketing materials for campaigns in the US market. The work includes multi-page magalogs, slim jims, retention letters, and complete mailing packages (letters, flyers, order forms, envelopes, inserts). Projects range from adapting existing pieces to fully recreating them from a brief. Adobe InDesign is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design, adapt, and lay out direct-mail pieces in Adobe InDesign, from single flyers to 28-page magalogs
• Translate briefs and copy into clear, persuasive layouts that follow brand guidelines
• Deliver print-ready, packaged files (fonts, links, bleed, CMYK, correct color profiles) to printer specifications
• Apply amends and corrections from internal feedback within agreed turnaround times
• Proofread layouts for errors in pricing, product details, and order form information before final delivery
• Keep source files, versions, and assets organized and hand them over at the end of each project
• Handle several projects at once and flag timeline risks early

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign (mandatory) and Illustrator; Photoshop is a plus
• 2 to 3 years of graphic design experience, with strong print and layout work
• Experience with multi-page print layouts; experience with direct mail, direct response, or magalogs is a strong advantage
• Solid understanding of typography, print standards, and preflight
• Strong attention to detail
• Fluent written English
• Reliable availability and responsiveness during agreed working hours
• A portfolio with relevant print work (applications without a portfolio will not be considered)
