About the Opportunity:

The SOFTWARE ENGINEER II, BACKEND (BATCH DEVELOPER EXPERIENCE) is responsible for improving the batch development and testing processes by creating tools and systems that streamline workflows and enhance reliability of critical batch workloads. This role collaborates with product and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient development, testing, and maintenance of backend systems, directly impacting the organization’s ability to deliver reliable financial services.

Responsibilities:

• Break down large projects into manageable tasks and deliver them in phases with team collaboration.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics teams during the product development lifecycle.
• Support operations by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating issues, and participating in on-call efforts.
• Contribute to team growth through activities such as participating in the interview process.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Proficiency in Python or Kotlin with experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to develop clear, well-tested, and extensible code solving complex scenarios.
• Comfortable navigating large codebases, debugging, and conducting code reviews.
• Demonstrated ownership of professional growth and proactive feedback seeking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $165,000 - $225,000
• USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $146,000 - $206,000
• Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology, along with benefits including fully subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents.
