Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Builder, Principal Product Manager based in the United States.
As a Principal Product Manager, you will drive the transformation of a complex technology platform by identifying high-impact opportunities and turning innovative ideas into working AI-powered solutions. You will join a small, AI-native team where product strategy, experience design, and engineering come together to rethink how platforms are built, accessed, and experienced. Rather than following an established roadmap, you will define new directions, challenge existing approaches, and validate your ideas through rapid experimentation. You will work hands-on with AI tools, prompts, real data, and system integrations to develop prototypes that demonstrate tangible improvements. By translating complex challenges into measurable outcomes, you will influence strategic decisions and build support for platform-wide innovation. This is an opportunity to combine senior product leadership with practical AI development in a fast-moving environment that values autonomy, experimentation, and demonstrable impact.
Accountabilities:
- Identify friction points, bottlenecks, and unnecessary handoffs across complex platform workflows, prioritizing opportunities that deliver significant value for customers and the business.
- Define product direction by translating ambiguous, multi-system challenges into clear problems, strategic priorities, and actionable solution concepts.
- Challenge existing platform capabilities and operating models, determining where functionality should be replaced, simplified, or significantly improved through evidence-based experimentation.
- Build and validate AI-assisted prototypes and demonstrations using AI tools, prompt design, agentic workflows, real data, and system integrations to prove the feasibility and value of new approaches.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and experience designers to explore solutions, test assumptions, and develop working proofs that demonstrate how proposed improvements perform in practice.
- Conduct rapid experiments to compare alternative solutions, evaluate hypotheses, and guide product decisions based on measurable outcomes rather than assumptions or opinions.
- Develop compelling before-and-after demonstrations that make existing challenges visible, illustrate the benefits of proposed solutions, and generate stakeholder support for change.
- Translate experimental findings into a clear product vision, defining future platform capabilities and outlining practical paths to implementation.
- Integrate customer insights, business objectives, user experience principles, and technical constraints into coherent, defensible product strategies.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and build alignment around new approaches through evidence, working prototypes, and clear communication rather than relying on formal authority.
- Help evolve product development practices by combining product thinking, experience design, and engineering within an AI-native delivery model.
- Identify reusable insights and opportunities for broader platform improvements that can generate value across multiple workflows, products, and systems.
Requirements:
- At least 8 years of experience driving product strategy and direction in complex technical environments, with a strong understanding of customer needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities.
- A proven track record of using experimentation to discover opportunities, validate hypotheses, refine solutions, and demonstrate measurable customer or business impact.
- Excellent product judgment and prioritization skills, with the ability to identify high-value opportunities across interconnected systems rather than focusing exclusively on individual features.
- Hands-on experience building AI-assisted prototypes or demonstrations, including prompt engineering, agentic workflows, AI-powered tools, and system integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to work across Product, Engineering, and Experience Design, shaping solutions end-to-end rather than relying on sequential handoffs between teams.
- A strong execution-oriented mindset, with experience turning complex problems and strategic insights into tangible working outcomes instead of relying solely on requirements documents, presentations, or roadmaps.
- Strong analytical and pr…
