Job Description

Sales Lead - Education sector

32k Base, OTE uncapped (40-50k estimated for the first year)

Mathnasium is a global company with 900 maths-only learning centres worldwide, which offers both maths help and enrichment to students through our unique combination of mental, oral, visual, tactile and written techniques. We teach maths to children for understanding, in a way that makes sense to them! Most importantly we make maths fun and grow children’s confidence.

Our centres are not just tutoring spaces—they are growth-driven, community-focused businesses that combine education with a strong emphasis on customer experience

We are currently seeking a Sales Lead / Centre assistant to ensure successful centre growth, work with students to achieve mastery of maths, and support parents.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a commercially driven Centre Manager to lead the growth of our East Dulwich centre. This is a sales-first leadership role where your ability to convert enquiries into long-term enrolments will directly determine the success of the centre.

You will take ownership of the entire customer journey—from lead generation and consultation through to enrolment, retention, and ongoing parent relationships.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a target-driven environment, enjoys consultative selling, and is motivated by both financial reward and making a meaningful impact on children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Growth (Primary Focus)

  • Own and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
  • Convert inbound enquiries into enrolled students through structured consultations
  • Proactively generate leads through local marketing, partnerships, and community outreach
  • Conduct high-quality parent consultations and assessments, clearly communicating value
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, tracking conversion metrics and performance
  • Drive upsell opportunities and maximise lifetime value of each family

Customer Experience & Retention

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with parents and students
  • Deliver an outstanding onboarding experience that reinforces value from day one
  • Proactively manage retention, renewals, and referrals
  • Handle objections and concerns with empathy and confidence

Centre Operations & Leadership

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the centre to ensure a high-quality experience
  • Lead by example in professionalism, energy, and accountability
  • Support and coordinate instructional staff to ensure student success
  • Ensure smooth administration, scheduling, and reporting

Community & Brand Building

  • Develop relationships with local schools, parents, and community groups
  • Represent the centre as a trusted education partner in the local area
  • Execute local marketing initiatives to drive awareness and footfall

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Proven track record in sales, consultative selling, or target-driven roles
  • Strong closing skills with the ability to confidently ask for and secure commitment
  • Experience managing a pipeline and working towards revenue targets
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organised, proactive, and results-oriented
  • Resilient, driven, and motivated by performance and earning potential

Desirable

  • Experience in education, tutoring, or working with families
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Leadership or team management experience
  • Strong numeracy skills and confidence with maths

Working Hours

  • 4 weekdays: 10:30am – 7:30pm
  • 1 weekend day (Saturday): 9:30am – 4:00pm
