We’re searching for an exceptional Director of Speech Research to lead groundbreaking research in automatic speech recognition (ASR), end-to-end speech architectures, and real-time voice intelligence.

What You’ll Do

• Pioneer Next-Generation Speech AI: Lead research into end-to-end ASR, streaming speech recognition, and advanced neural speech architectures.
• Push Architectural Boundaries: Drive innovation across Conformer, RNN-T, Transformer, CTC, and emerging speech models.
• Solve Complex AI Challenges: Advance multilingual recognition, speech embeddings, acoustic modeling, prosody, and speech-to-speech technologies.
• Redefine Real-Time Performance: Improve accuracy, latency, robustness, and efficiency in challenging, real-world environments.
• Shape the Future: Drive research strategy, influence architectural decisions, and translate breakthrough innovations into production-scale AI systems.
• Lead Exceptional Talent: Inspire and mentor world-class speech researchers while collaborating with advanced AI and engineering teams.

What You’ll Bring

• Essential: Proven, hands-on experience architecting, developing, and training modern end-to-end ASR models.
• Deep expertise in speech recognition, neural networks, speech signal processing, and deep learning.
• Strong experience with Conformer, RNN-T, Transformer-based ASR, CTC, or comparable end-to-end architectures.
• Experience building streaming, real-time, or low-latency speech recognition systems.
• Strong knowledge of multilingual ASR, speech embeddings, acoustic modeling, and representation learning.
• Demonstrated success solving complex problems involving recognition accuracy, noise robustness, latency, and model efficiency.
• A track record of leading research initiatives, mentoring scientists, and shaping technical direction.

Highly Valued: Experience with speech foundation models, self-supervised learning, multimodal AI, speech-to-speech systems, or influential research publications.
