Java Architect

We are looking for an experienced Java Architect with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, cloud technologies, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of software development experience, including 2–3 years in an Architect or Technical Lead role.

The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and high-performance software architectures, leading technical design decisions, defining engineering standards, and mentoring development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance Java-based architectures.
• Lead the design and development of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed applications.
• Define architectural standards, coding practices, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
• Guide cloud-native application development and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Drive CI/CD implementation, system reliability, performance optimization, and production readiness.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and conduct architecture and code reviews.
• Evaluate technology choices, architectural alternatives, and technical trade-offs.
• Design API gateways, service discovery mechanisms, caching strategies, and distributed transaction management.
• Ensure application security through appropriate authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps teams, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend solutions for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Mandatory Technical Skills

Core Java

• Strong knowledge of Core Java, including Java 8/11/17 or later.
• Expertise in multithreading, concurrency, Collections Framework, and JVM internals.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

Spring Framework and Backend Development

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security.
• Strong knowledge of Hibernate and JPA.
• Experience designing and developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and distributed systems.

Messaging and Databases

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis.
• Understanding of database optimization, caching, and distributed transaction patterns.

Cloud and DevOps

• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of cloud-native architecture, deployment strategies, and system reliability.

Architecture and System Design

• Strong expertise in system design and microservices architecture.
• Experience designing API gateways, service discovery, and scalable distributed applications.
• Ability to define architectural standards and make sound technical decisions.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of software development experience.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in a Java Architect, Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Technical Lead role.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership abilities.

Good to Have

• AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Architect certifications.
• Experience with ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Knowledge of Spring WebFlux and reactive programming.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and OWASP security practices.
• Domain experience in BFSI, e-commerce, or healthcare.
