About the Role

Our client is seeking an AI Full Stack Engineer who can work across frontend development, backend architecture, and applied artificial intelligence. This role involves building AI-powered products from initial concept through production, with a focus on large language models (LLMs), retrieval systems, contextual memory, and third-party integrations.

The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack engineering skills with practical experience building AI-enabled applications. You should be comfortable taking ownership of substantial features, making technical decisions in evolving environments, and ensuring that applications remain reliable, responsive, and maintainable in production.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product development across user interfaces, backend services, data flows, and AI-powered functionality.

• Build reliable AI features that integrate language models, retrieval systems, persistent context, and external services.

• Design and develop APIs and application architectures that support scalable, production-ready software.

• Create responsive AI-driven user experiences that handle streaming responses, intermediate processing states, latency, and unexpected failures gracefully.

• Implement safeguards, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms to improve the reliability of model-driven workflows.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate product concepts into practical technical solutions and deliver features through launch.

• Monitor production behavior, evaluation results, and operational signals to identify opportunities to improve AI feature quality.

• Evaluate technical approaches, weigh architectural trade-offs, and develop implementation plans when requirements are evolving or unclear.

• Maintain high standards for software quality, including testing, observability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Continuously improve applications and AI workflows based on real-world usage and production feedback.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in full-stack software engineering, with strong capabilities across frontend and backend development.

• A solid understanding of system design, API architecture, application development, and production software engineering.

• Hands-on experience building applications with large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or similar AI-powered architectures.

• Experience integrating AI models with application state, contextual memory, retrieval layers, APIs, and external tools.

• A proven ability to independently manage substantial features from design and development through deployment and ongoing improvement.

• Strong technical judgment and the ability to make practical architectural and implementation decisions in environments with changing requirements.

• A quality-focused approach to software development, including testing, reliability, observability, maintainability, and production performance.

• The ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and deliver results with limited oversight.

Preferred Technical Experience

• Experience with technologies such as Next.js, Python, Node.js, SQL or NoSQL databases, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with modern AI model ecosystems, LLM integrations, retrieval systems, and AI orchestration approaches.

• Experience developing cloud-native applications and managing the operational requirements of production software.
