Join us and be part of a genuinely collaborative environment where everyone is supported to make the most of their talents. We believe in recognising everyone’s contribution while delivering excellence together.

The Stansted Transformation Programme represents one of the UK’s most significant aviation infrastructure programmes, bringing together major capital investments across terminal expansion, baggage systems, airfield infrastructure, utilities, logistics, stakeholder management, programme controls and operational readiness.

This is a unique opportunity to join a complex, high-profile programme that will directly influence the future capacity, efficiency and passenger experience at Stansted Airport. Working alongside industry-enabling specialists, you will contribute to the delivery of major infrastructure projects from early development and planning through to construction, commissioning and operational integration.

The role offers exposure to major infrastructure delivery, multidisciplinary collaboration and a wide range of programme functions across one of the UK’s flagship aviation programmes.

By joining AtkinsRéalis, you’ll work alongside recognised experts in programme and project delivery, helping to shape the future of aviation through innovation, collaboration and delivery excellence while developing your own career on nationally significant projects.

Your role

  • Support the successful delivery of complex aviation infrastructure projects across various workstreams within the Stansted Transformation Programme.
  • Contribute to project planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, commercial, planning, programme controls, logistics and stakeholder management functions.
  • Assist in managing project risks, issues, dependencies and change activities to support programme shared goals.

  • Support the administration and management of NEC3/NEC4 contracts where required.
  • Contribute to the delivery of key programme functions including Early Works, Baggage, Skylinks, Interface Management, Logistics, Programme Controls, Risk, Change, Information Management and Engineering Integration.
  • Produce accurate project documentation, reports and technical outputs to support informed resolution.
  • Support the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and programme performance.
  • Travel to client offices and project locations, with an expectation of being on site approximately 3-4 days per week.

About You

  • Project Management qualification(s) or equivalent professional training.
  • Experience working on major infrastructure, capital delivery or complex construction projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and their administration.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Willingness to learn, contribute ideas and embrace new opportunities.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a professional environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and a risk-aware approach to evaluation and prioritisation.
  • Resilient, adaptable and capable of working within a fast-paced programme environment.
  • Passion for delivering successful projects and contributing to positive programme outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel and work from client locations as required.
