Senior Software Engineer – C# / .NET / Azure

Contract: 6 months

Rate: £650 per day

IR35: Outside IR35

Location: London, City

Working pattern: Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a major modernisation programme, helping build and evolve modern, cloud-native applications while supporting a growing move into AI and agentic technologies .

This is fundamentally a C#/.NET and Azure engineering role , so you don’t need to be an AI specialist. However, we’re particularly interested in engineers who are enthusiastic about AI, have started experimenting with it, or want to incorporate AI capabilities into enterprise software.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Azure
• Experience building modern, scalable cloud applications and APIs
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and clean coding practices
• Experience working on modernisation / transformation programmes
• Comfortable working in complex enterprise environments
• Genuine interest in AI, GenAI and Agentic AI
• Any hands-on exposure to LLMs, Azure OpenAI, AI agents, RAG or AI-enabled applications would be highly advantageous, but isn’t essential
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineering and product teams

The opportunity

This would suit a strong .NET/Azure engineer who wants to move deeper into AI , rather than someone coming from a pure Data Science or Machine Learning background.

You’ll have the opportunity to apply your existing engineering experience while helping shape how AI capabilities are introduced into modern enterprise applications.
