Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk/Administrative Assistant to join our newly expanding team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to ultimately manage our accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across various accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, deadline orientated and possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, with the ability to handle confidential information with integrity. In this role, you will initially focus on core accounts payable functions before expanding your responsibilities to support marketing and social media outreach. Our customers are based throughout the US, understanding and working with different time zones will be necessary to be organized and timely with varying deadlines.

Duties

• Manage accounts payable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks Desktop and AppFolio required.
• Maintain 100s of utility accounts payables - heavy data entry.
• Handle data entry tasks related to invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents with precision, consistency and attention to detail
• Set up new and maintain existing vendor files - policies, insurance, W9s, assist with 1099/1096 filings
• Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, marketing and social media/AI

Experience

• Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles within the property management industry
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, Excel and AppFolio required
• Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping helpful
• Strong understanding of GAAP standards preferred
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and handle work volume accurately in an environment where the pace can change very quickly
• Social Media / AI marketing experience preferred

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
